Congressman Bucshon Visits NACD Member Brenntag North America, Inc. in Indiana
Arlington, VA, September 5, 2012 -- Brenntag North America’s Mid-South facility in Indiana was honored with a visit from U.S. Congressman Larry Bucshon (R-IN) today. Brenntag North America, Inc. is a member in good standing of the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD).
Brenntag representatives welcomed the congressman and provided him the opportunity to meet and speak with employees after touring their Terre Haute, Indiana facility. The congressman was able to see first-hand the chemical distribution industry’s important role in Indiana and in the national economy. He also learned more about NACD’s mandatory Responsible Distribution® program. Responsible Distribution® is an environmental, health, safety and stewardship program for the chemical distribution industry.
During the visit, Congressman Bucshon acknowledged the safety measures undertaken by Brenntag Mid-South and industry through Responsible Distribution®. “I am glad to meet with the talented leaders and employees at Brenntag to learn about their jobs, Responsible Distribution, and the chemical-supply chain distribution work the company does here in Terre Haute each day. I will continue to work in Congress to establish common sense policies that create a safe, secure and thriving business center for Brenntag employees and our community.”
